Wanted: New Jacket

I'm loving this fall weather and I've been fortunate enough to get away with wearing a sweater most days. But, I think Hurricane Sandy brought a cold front with her. I'm sitting in my room with my toe socks AND my ugg slippers on. All this cold weather got me to thinking that I need a new fall jacket. 

Here are the ones I'm reallllllly feeling right now. If I could get all I would, but alas, I must choose only 1...or maybe 2 :)

Roaming These Streets

 

I'm not one to wear sneakers much, but on my bummy run-a-round days??? these are my go-to's!

I bought these Puma high top sneakers for my 17th birthday (back in high school I was a sneaker head lol =) and they're one of the few pairs of kicks that I've kept since then.

Today was one of THOSE days, I was so sick and I was not feeling the school vibe at all. So I threw on my fave jeans (for the moment), my go-to kicks and an anorak jacket and ta-dow! 

I'm comfortable.... and I look like I tried :) 

Getting Cold

 Fall came and brought a us a slap-full of cold today. Subtract about 15 degrees from the 60-something we had outside due to FIT's terrible central heating system and you've got winter up in here.... So let the layering and cozy sweater wearing begin! 

This sweater is my fave! I just love this maroon/brown color and even though I just threw on a sweater and jeans, the print makes it look like I made an effort today. :D

White after Labor Day

Hey guys, fall weather is coming closer and closer! But right now, the weather's "in between." In between weather is so weird because it's summer-time sunny, but there's a little chill in the air that'll catch you off guard if you don't have a jacket. But if you do have a jacket, you might be too hot. Ugh.
As I stood in front of my closet this morning to figure out what to wear, my eyes spotted these white jeans that I've been overlooking for months. I bought them for summer, but I never could decide when to wear them and what do you know? It's September. So I decided to break the rule of no white after labor day and rock my white jeans with a knitted sweater and some flats.

I accessorized with my gold Aldo watch, a pair of gold and brown bracelets and a simple heart ring.

The "breathe-ability" of the sweater is what saved me. When I was hot, the holes allowed some wind to breeze through and cool me down, and when it was cool, I was nice and warm in my knitted sweater. I'm ready for fall. In-between weather and all!

It's September and we're already getting into the swing of things with school. Before you know it, Fall will be here and I for one, don't want to be caught off guard. So, I started my Fall shopping.....two months ago. I like to be prepared lol. Anyhoo, I was choosing my colors for the season and one I love love loooooooove is burgundy. I've never worn it before but it's so pretty and I think it's a great transition color for the season. I got a good armful of pieces, but these are my favorites; the pieces that will definitely be on repeat these coming months.

My oOoooOh yea, SCHOOL face lol

Today was the first day of school, couldn't have gone better if I do say so myself. I only had two classes but they were a good two, Lighting and Studio VI for Residential design. I'd originally signed up for the studio class of this really strict professor who makes his students cry half the semester and ended up getting this really happy go lucky professor who loves textures and fabrics and glam; basically the design part of Interior Design. Excellent!! because that's what I'm good at and I think I'll be able to explore it a lot more with him. Uuuuuber excited, I guess everything happens for a reason. AND he asked me if I'm a model (blush) so he's already on my good side :)

For my outfit I decided to go casual, a button up and a sweater (it's still summer but the AC in my school is something serious) with my favorite jeans of the week and some flats to add a pop of color. Is this color blocking???

Today was my unofficial final day at work before school starts. I went in early to tie up loose ends and say my farewells before I was off to finish my running around before tomorrow. 

 On run-a-round days I definitely like to be comfortable and jeans always do it for me (Old Navy makes my butt look big ;). Although it's still August, the wind is blowing a nice little breeze in the evenings and so I threw on a striped navy top. 

My all time favorite nude is that distressed leather brown which is always pretty and so effortless. So I added it in my accessories. A hair tie and a bun to help with the casual thrown together look and I'm ready to go!
