Run This Town..

I'm really enjoying the new healthy diet and exercise routines I'm doing. I think I want to start running. Actually, I decided a while ago that I wanted to get into it for a bunch of reasons like building my stamina (so people won't laugh at me when I go to the track with them), to promote my bone and lung health, and to have another outlet to relieve my stress and give myself time to think.
But....I can't decide on which shoe to get. Things like this I really have to think about because a good shoe is important isn't it? Well, I narrowed it down to these three..

It's light-weight, flexible, and has abrasion-resistant carbon rubber under the high wear areas, and has flex grooves for a more natural stride.

It's about and ounce lighter than the first shoe, it's flexible, has a SUPER cute molecule design, and has a more anatomical heel and improved arch.
The Reebok Realflex Scream - $89.99

The mesh design allows for breathablility,  it has a removable sockliner, and the multi-directional flex nodes at the bottom allow for natural foot motions and footstrike.

This is just about an everyday running shoe, but a girl's gotta be cute on the road :)

Halle Berry Legs

photo: stylebistro

If you don't know me, I'll let you in on a little secret...I have a huge appreciation for physical fitness and muscle toned bodies. I just think everything looks better when it's sculpted and toned and I for one want to achieve Halle Berry legs
I mean think about it, your legs are the entire lower extremity of your body and something like 1/7 of your total body weight. They're responsible for everything from standing, walking, running, and jumping.  Without them you're held at a really big disadvantage. There's a lot more science to this whole thing like how many bones are in your legs (52 to be exact) and that 45 percent of women experience leg problems by the age of 30.
But me?? I just don't want flabby legs! That's not cute at all. I want to have legs of envy and I want to be wearing shorts at 45 and looking like Halle. So, I started working out. No canes and walkers in my future if I can help it!
Here's one of the quick workouts I do to tone up my legs. I'm trying to also focus on my tiny calves, one of the most difficult muscles to train partly due to genetics (i.e. my dad and his bird legs) but I'm trying to put it out there in the universe so that it'll happen for me. Wish me luck :)
