Julian Voss-Andreae is a German sculptor based in
Portland, Oregon. He started out as a painter then decided to study physics, mathematics, and philosophy at the Universities of
Berlin, Edinburgh and Vienna. He completed his graduate
research in quantum physics.....talk about a long resume.

States to study Sculpture at the Pacific Northwest College of Art from
where he graduated in 2004.
Julian considers his work be unifying our world with the world of science.
(Can you say PERFECT for my thesis?!)
(Can you say PERFECT for my thesis?!)
You probably already know that I appreciate any art form that honors the human body because it's so complex and beautiful. But Voss-Andreae’s work takes it to another level by playing with the angles and translucency of his medium. the thought behind his pieces seems so much deeper. Is it just me or can you see the double helix and DNA sequencing in his figures.
Julian Voss-Andreae's work; his human figures as well as his particle sculptures have quickly captured the attention of multiple institutions and collectors in
the United States and abroad. The advantage of creating metal sculpture is that they can be displayed both indoors and outdoors. I know I will be using his wonderful work in my indoor waterfall. Look out for that later :)
